Profile Jitske Kramer

 inspired, innovative, results-oriented

Jitske Kramer (1973) studied Cultural Anthropology at Utrecht University, and since 1998 has worked as a facilitator/coach in the commercial sector. Having worked for 8 years for the Boertien Groep, in 2006 she founded the international network organisation HumanDimensions. Jitske is a highly sought-after facilitator/coach/presenter in the area of diversity and change, both in the Netherlands and abroad.

Diversity and Change

Jitske specialises in working in a culturally diverse environment and supporting cultural change. Greater diversity (of ethnicity, religion, region, gender, function, generations) at work requires specific attention and management. Working in a multicultural team; mergers with international companies; joint ventures with worldwide networks; managing international (virtual) teams; changing the corporate culture… all situations in which existing routines are called into question and emotions can run high.

Jitske likes to contribute to thinking about how the cultural dynamics within a team or organisation can be put to good use. In other words: how can differences realise their potential as a source of innovation and strength for renewal? As well as: how can the desired behaviour really be embedded in the everyday routine? After all, there can be no results without effective implementation.

In her training courses and coaching, Jitske uses action methods from psychodrama and voice dialogue to increase the intercultural competences of the participants.

In 2009, she wrote the book ‘Managing Cultural Dynamics’ (original Dutch title: ‘Normaal is anders!’) on managing cultural dynamics.
